Sheri Martin Soosaar, Occupational Therapy Health Services has worked with individual's with Acquired Brain Injury for over 10 years working in both pediatric and adult populations.  

As an OT in the field of Acquired Brain Injury, Sheri Martin Soosaar keeps up to date with legislative changes as they pertain to Motor Vehicle Accidents.  She completes Assessment of Attendant Care Needs (Form 1), In-Home Occupational Therapy Assessments, assists with transition to school  or work, works co-operatively with team and family members to assist individuals with transitions to independent living and helps to problem solve and develop strategies with the every day problems that persons with Acquired Brain Injury encounter.

Sheri also provides consultative services to a new and innovative transitional living program in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.  The Summit program which is run under Participation House in Waterloo Wellington provides 24 hour attendant care and Rehabilitation Support Services in apartment settings to persons with Acquired Brain Injury. The goal of the program is to increase the client's level of independence, and then support him/her in finding the appropriate housing setting and community services allowing the client to live up to their potential.
