Rob Soosaar, Director Business Development
Rob's role at Creative Therapy Health Services is to work collaboratively with its clients, business partners, educators, insurance companies, government agencies and technology organizations to develop service programs to meet the needs of the clients. Often times the needs of clients are well understood but connecting the myriad of solutions can be a daunting exercise. Rob will work with all stakeholders to develop creative solutions and unique programs to address the needs of constituents by leveraging the depth of knowledge within Creative Therapy together with the collective experience of a wide range of partners in the health services field.Rob brings a unique perspective to Creative Therapy Health Services with a solid background in technology and management tethered to a commitment to lifelong learning. His background has provided a wide lens into the challenges of delivering complex solutions as efficiently and effectively as possible without losing sight of the goals driving the adoption of those solutions. Prior to joining Creative Therapy Rob served as Director of Professional Services at Desire2Learn, a Kitchener Ontario based technology organization delivering Learning Management Solutions to the educational market place. Prior to that Rob was with MKS Inc. in Waterloo Ontario for 13 years in a variety of roles including Director Solutions Development, Director of Professional Services and Manager of Business Development. MKS is a software company specializing in the area of Enterprise Change Management Solutions. Leading up to the management roles later in his career, Rob spent several years with Raytheon Canada Ltd. developing software for air traffic control and satellite communications systems. His career was initiated in academics as a Research Assistant in the flight simulation labratory at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies.
Rob obtained a BSc. in Applied Physics from the University of Waterloo in 1987. He resides in Waterloo with his wife and 3 teenage children. Rob maintains a diverse interest in painting, music, cycling, technology, environmental sustainability and camping. Involvement in community programs has always been important whether it is volunteering time to the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo Wellington, Out of The Cold program, neighbourhood rink building, school councils or local art events.
