Sheri Martin Soosaar Owner and Executive Director | Sheri Martin Soosaar BSc(OT); OT Reg (Ont) Owner, Occupational Therapist and Executive Director of Creative Therapy Health Services Phone: 519-954-5026 Sheri is a creative Occupational Therapist who puts the needs of her clients first. She focuses on putting “fun” into therapy and enjoys developing positive, therapeutic relationships with each of her clients. Sheri has been working in the field of Occupational Therapy for over 30 years. Sheri graduated from University of Toronto in 1991. Over the years, her career has provided her with a range of opportunities including working in an acute care inpatient hospital setting, and in a vocational rehabilitation setting with the Ontario March of Dimes. She has brought her innovate problem-solving and clinical skills to roles such as Designated Assessment Centre (DAC) assessor and Provincial DAC coordinator for persons who have been in a motor vehicle accident (MVA) and require attendant care services. More recently her career has focused on the pediatric population and people with complex diagnosis including acquired brain injury. She has worked in the school system providing assessment, treatment and consultation for children with a variety of special needs and diagnoses. Dedicated to continuing education, Sheri has attended a variety of post-graduate courses, workshops, and conferences including but not limited to Handwriting without Tears, Is it Sensory or Behaviour?, Brain Gym, and Learning Outside the Box She also keeps updated on the Motor Vehicle Accident Industry regulations especially where it pertains to persons with Acquired Brain Injury. She is often sought after to work on complex catastrophic and non-catastrophic cases due to extensive knowledge of the MVA realm. Sheri lives in Waterloo with her husband. Her 3 adult children reside in Waterloo Region as well. |
Samantha Coulter MSc(OT); Reg (Ont) Occupational Therapist Samantha received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in 2017 and prior to this obtained her degree in Honours Social Development Studies at The University of Waterloo. Samantha has experience providing clinical and community-based Occupational Therapy to individuals with neurological, cognitive, complex orthopaedic, musculoskeletal and mental health diagnoses. She has worked with youth, adults, and seniors and has developed a strong passion for working within pediatrics. Samantha embraces a client-centered approach and is committed to collaborating with clients and their family members to create individualized and meaningful treatment plans. | |

Erin is a graduate of the Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant program at Conestoga College and has worked in public healthcare and supporting individuals 1:1 within the community prior to coming to Creative Therapy in 2016. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, Erin works with pediatric clients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, and is also the lead office administrator. She enjoys working with clients to build fine motor and gross motor skills and tailoring each session to the client’s goals and interests. Erin has had the opportunity to attend many webinars and courses on a wide range of topics including best practices for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Erin has volunteered in a variety of roles in the community including the Cambridge Accessibility Advisory Committee; Big Brother Big Sister, Waterloo Region; Youth Unlimited YFC Tri-City, Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and OTA & PTA Education Accreditation Program. In her free time, she is most likely to be found either hiking in the woods, knitting something for one of her 22 nieces and nephews or reading a mystery novel. Hailey Muir Occupational Therapist | Hailey Muir MSc(OT); Reg (Ont) Occupational Therapist Hailey is a graduate of the Occupational Therapy program at Queens University, prior to joining Creative Therapy in 2022 she worked in the community with adults involved in motor vehicle accidents (MVA) as well as first responders off work with a trauma based injury. At Creative Therapy Hailey works with pediatric clients, clients involved in MVA and seniors in the community or at a transitional care unit. Hailey enjoys working in the areas of feeding, sensory processing emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills and mental health. Hailey has attended a variety of professional development courses in the areas of: sensory based feeding, sensory processing, interoception and handwriting. Hailey is currently taking additional training in Infant Feeding, Eating and Swallowing. Additionally she is certified in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). Hailey’s volunteer interests include working with Easter Seals Ontario and helping with their camps. Prior to being an OT, she worked there for 3 years. When she is not working she enjoys hiking and trying out new restaurants with family and friends. |
Patricia Nguyen MSc(OT); Reg (Ont) Occupational Therapist Patricia is an Occupational Therapist with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse clients in various settings such as hospitals, schools, clinics, and the community. Patricia joined Creative Therapy in 2018, and since then, she has been working with clients of all ages, providing creative solutions and accommodations to help them achieve their meaningful occupations. Currently, she is responsible for supporting OT students and managing social media, and thus, she is not accepting new clients at the moment. With a special interest in the neurodivergent population, Patricia adopts a strengths-based approach to empower her clients to reach their goals. She has extensive experience in picky eating, emotional regulation, sensory processing differences, and motor skill delays. Additionally, she has worked with adults on ergonomic assessments, home safety assessments, and clients with motor vehicle accident injuries. To further hone her skills, Patricia has completed several continuing education courses such as Is it Sensory vs Behaviour Course, SOS Feeding Approach, Learn Play Thrive Course, and holds certification as a BrainFx Administrator. In her free time, Patricia indulges in hiking, camping, and exploring new culinary experiences. She also has a passion for baking and hand-lettering, which she enjoys during her leisure time. | |
Brad Thomas Occupational Therapist | Brad Thomas MSc(OT); OT Reg (Ont) Occupational Therapist Brad is an energetic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who also demonstrates a very patient and calming personality. He predominantly works with our pediatric clients quickly developing a strong rapport creating allowing him to work very effectively at an individuals treatment objectives. Brad graduated with an MSc. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2020. Prior to that he obtained a BSc. in Biology from Wilfrid Laurier University. In addition to establishing his career as an Occupational Therapist Brad is active in a variety of sports including hockey and golf and also ran the Toronto Marathon in 2019. He enjoys spending time with his dog “Molson” which is a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Catahoula Leopard |
Kayla Soosaar Occupational Therapist | Kayla Soosaar BSc. Psychology; MSc(OT); OT Reg. (Ont) Occupational Therapist Kayla obtained her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2022 from Glasgow Caledonian University in the UK. Her experience with the National Health Service in Scotland has provided Kayla with a unique perspective on delivering occupational therapy services to her clients. Kayla has gained experience in working as a nature based occupational therapy assistant. She has also gained experience in providing telehealth services for adults with ADHD who require support with symptom management in their home or work environment. Kayla has specialized training in brain injury rehabilitation, and is a certified Brain Fx assessor, and MoCA administrator. Kayla graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2015 with a BSc in Psychology. Kayla, is also trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) and is the lead therapist at CTHS in provision of OMT to our clients. Kayla’s calm and nurturing personality are a key strength in helping clients overcome anxiety challenges in a therapy setting. In addition to her skills as a therapist, Kayla is an avid Yoga practitioner, dancer and outdoor adventurer. |
