The Work Environment

Creative Therapy is an innovative Occupational Therapy clinic that provides services for clients across all age groups and to diverse populations. OT  services at CTHS are provided in our clinic, virtually, in persons homes, community, schools, workplaces and transitional living units. We provide services to the pediatric population, persons that have been involved in car accidents, or require long term disability benefits.  In addition, we provide OT services to other care providers within our community (eg. schools, transitional living etc.)

Current Opening for Occupational Therapist:

Job Description:

We are seeking a full time Occupational Therapist that can provide services to our pediatric population including assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, providing guidance to family, schools, OTA’s etc. on following through with OT treatment plans.   We provide OT services to children with fine motor/ gross motor challenges, sensory processing challenges, visual processing challenges, behavioural regulation challenges, anxiety and so on.  We offer a variety of groups for our pediatric population and programing for in person and/or virtual groups may be a part of the role.

Other aspects of the role include but not limited to providing OT services, assessment, treatment, and programming for persons on a transitional care unit.  The programming aspect includes developing programs for persons with dementia.

Our clinic facility provides a structured yet comfortable environment for working with clients.  We have a gymnasium with a wall of windows providing natural light.  The fine motor room offers a quiet calm space for clients to work on cognitive or fine motor activities.  There is also a kitchen area that can be used for performing kitchen assessments with clients, cooking classes or team meetings.

The clinic is conveniently located in the Uptown Waterloo core, with easy access by car or public transit.
