Currently Available Classes

While COVID has severely limited our offering of group activities, we are currently running the following (click on the links for more information):

Typically Creative Therapy offers a broad range of camps and group activities to help children develop functional abilities in fun social setting with their peers.  PD Day camps are led by an Occupational Therapist, supported by volunteers, in order to provide a high ratio of counsellors to children.  Printing groups have been offered to help children develop fine motor skills to improve handwriting.  Music groups have been offered to help children develop socialization and other skills through the medium of music.

Group activities have been offered to our adult populations.  Yoga and Mindfulness sessions have been custom designed with the target audience in mind.  For example, many of the participants in Yoga are recovering from trauma such as Motor Vehicle Accidents where acquired brain injuries and other physical limitations make participation in traditional yoga classes impossible.  Sheri, the lead occupational Therapist, is also a yoga instruction and has developed a series of classes that have helped participants reduce headaches, improve sleep and develop improved range of motion.

Group art therapy classes have been delivered to people recovering from traumas such as Motor Vehicle Accidents, allowing participants to work at their own pace and share some social time in an environment where there is a mutual understanding of peoples path to recovery.
