Treatment Strategies
Our treatment strategies take into account the personalities and interests of the client to make the process as interesting and enjoyable as possible while achieving the objectives of the treatment. Treatment goals are developed after a thorough Occupational Therapy assessment. Being able to maximize motivation ensures the most amount of success. Treatment sessions include the following elements:
- Client-centered
- Fun
- Tasks broken into simple manageable elements
- Competencies in a step-by-step manner
- Build on the client’s strengths
- Educate the family, team, and relevant community members on treatment strategies and/or environmental adaptations
- Assist family in adapting to the child’s needs within the school system
